Presentation: Caring for Older Adults with Down Syndrome

• A closer look at caring for older adults with Down Syndrome and their caregivers
• The intersection of Down Syndrome and various dementias
• Opportunities for advocacy pertaining to these groups within members' communities, organizations, and with legistrators

Speakers Tom Hackett, Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan
Tom is a member of the Down Syndrome Association and the proud dad of a 54-year-old daughter who has Down syndrome and has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. He is the coordinator of the DSAWM Aging With Down Syndrome Support Group, a board member of the DSAWM Foundation Board of Directors, and a volunteer at the Alzheimer's Association.
