Virtual FCU: Fair Housing Rights for Seniors in Kent County
Thursday, June 3, 2021
- 1:00 - 2:00 pm
The ability to obtain adequate, affordable housing fairly is critical to continued well-being and quality of life for Kent County seniors – as is the ability to age safely in place. Unfortunately, despite over 100 years of fair housing laws, housing discrimination against seniors in Kent County remains prevalent and continues to be a significant barrier to housing choice. This seminar will address protections available for seniors, examples of housing discrimination, reasonable accommodations and modifications for older adults with disabilities, and tools to assist in advocating for fair housing for seniors.
